A critique is presented of the films "Major Dundee" and "Cross of Iron," both directed by Sam Peckinpah and starring Senta Berger. Themes such as war, romantic love, and physical and mental healing are discussed, as well as critical reception of the films. Deleted scenes and alternate theatrical releases are analyzed, as well as gender roles in the films.
