- Abstract
The article focuses on the collection of hagiographies or stories of saints "Legenda Áurea," attributed to Dominican archbishop Jacopo de Varazze, to discuss Medieval society, particularly the 13th century. Topics include the notion of regimes of historicity developed by French historian François Hartog, the relationship between hagiography and history based on French Jesuit Michel de Certeau, and the concept of free will in the Middle Ages.
