The article focuses on the problems of creating an appropriate regulation for the development of shale oil and gas production in the U.S. Topics include issues of creating uniform regulations for balancing development of gas and oil and local governments interest in protecting residents safety; oil and gas lawn provision of Ohio; and enactment of Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission under Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Act for looking at oil and gas drilling activities in the state.
