- Title
On the validity of nested clade phylogeographical analysis.
- Authors
Beaumont, Mark A.; Panchal, Mahesh
- Abstract
The authors comment upon the accuracy of nested clade phylogeographical analysis (NCPA) for genetic analyses of geographically structured populations, as stressed by A. R. Templeton in his works. They refer to several comments by Templeton on a study conducted by them to test the validity of NCPA and stress that it is prone to false-positives. The authors also state that NCPA cannot be used to compare the result of their simulation-based tests and the conclusions of empirical data sets.
