- Abstract
The article discusses the dedication of a memorial in Hells Canyon, Oregon, that commemorates a group of Chinese gold miners who were massacred there in 1887. Efforts to study and commemorate the broader history of Chinese in the area are also described, including an exhibition at Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History in Lewiston, Oregon, on the Beuk Aie Temple.
