- Title
A Revisit of Domestic Tourist Satisfaction and Destination Loyalty: A Case Study of Bangkok, Thailand.
- Authors
McDowall, Siriporn; Li-Chun Lin
- Abstract
This study investigated the satisfaction and loyalty of domestic Thai tourists toward Bangkok as a destination and whether significant relationships existed between their satisfaction, destination loyalty and demographic factors. The results revealed that the majority of 266 respondents were female, 18-24 years old, single, had earned a college degree, and were repeat tourists. Overall, they were satisfied with Bangkok as a tourist destination, very likely to visit it again and would recommend this city to others. No significant difference was found between satisfaction, recommendation to others, demographic factors and frequency of visit. However, there was a significant difference between destination loyalty and frequency of visitation (p = .009). In other words, the more frequently they had visited Bangkok, the more likely they were going to visit Bangkok again.
