The article discusses the failure of the Rio+20 conference despite its goal to push governments to address important ecological crises such as protection of biodiversity and climate change. It states that the proper agenda for Rio+20 should have been the assessment on the lack of the implementation of the Rio treaties. The paradigm of the Green Economy which refers to Mother Earth and the rights of nature is also cited.
