- Abstract
Mad honey intoxication is an intoxication that is resulted after eating honey called grayanotoxin which is made by plants of Rhodendron class in the Ericaceae family. It can cause mild symptoms like diziness, nause, vomiting to serious cardiac problems like hypotension, bradicardia, AV bloc. In this case we discussed a patient who admitted emergency servise with dizziness, weakness, nausea, excessive sweating and had hypotension and bradicardia in electrocardiography after more detailed anamnesis and we discovered that our patient had eaten honey just fourtyfive minutes before the beginning of the symptoms.
