- Abstract
The article discusses a study which describes the case of a female ring-tailed lemur, which died one week after it delivered four stillborn offspring. Histopathology and immunohistochemistry findings revealed that localized, myocardial toxoplasmosis contributed to the death of the lemur. It was also noted that all four fetuses had disseminated toxoplasmosis with mild encephalitis, while two fetuses had mild acute multifocal hepatic necrosis.
