- Abstract
The article offers information on the study that investigates on the archaeological evidence on the agricultural development of Nuku Hiva in Polynesia. Accordingly, the colonization period of the island is concentrated on the wet cultivation project of taro which contribute to the advancement of its economic status in minimal labor requirements. In addition, the author stressed that irrigation system was also given higher importance for agricultural development which has existed during the early history which depicts the existence of initial colonization. Moreover, the author added that archaeologists must carried out further studies to address the finding flaws as well as problems of equifinality.
