- Title
'Give pupils with diabetes equal access to activities'
- Abstract
The article discusses how school students with diabetes are missing key elements of the school curriculum because of being exempted from some physical education classes. The article notes that some teachers are overly cautious about allowing children to take part in physical activity or overnight class trips. As a result Great Britain's Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has issued guidelines which recommend allowing diabetic children to participate in all curricular and extra-curricular activities.
