- Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to medical research and discoveries in 2009. Results of a clinical study suggests that migraines during pregnancy poses risks of stroke and vascular diseases. However, further research is still needed to provide concrete data that supports the theory. Moreover, the medical industry in the Netherlands has intensified efforts in investigating the incidence of serious maternal complications after the use of tocolytic drugs for the treatment of preterm labour.
