- Abstract
The article presents a profile of the parallel histories of the Confederate ordinance works factory and prisoner of war station at Camp Ford, both of which were run in Tyler, Texas between 1862 and 1865. Details are given describing the Confederate States' ordinance production system throughout the Civil War. Accounts are also provided mapping the rise and fall of the prison camp's administration.
