DANSON, EDWARD B.
- Abstract
The article presents information on archaeological excavations of Native American cultural sites which were conducted in 1952 and 1953 by teams from the University of Arizona. A site near the town of Naco featured evidence of a prehistoric hunt, containing the remains of a mammoth and several fluted Clovis points. Studies of a large pueblo at the Point of Pines site are described, which focused on the influence of climate change. An excavation of the Double Adobe site is said to have provided information on the Cochise culture.
