The article discusses the role of the National Museum of Colombia in rewriting the country's history on various themes like diversity, violence, minorities, and reconciliation. Topics include the challenge before the museum in tracing Colombia's recent history of violence while its main protagonists are still alive; and the role of the museum's curators and specialists in encouraging new reflections on citizenship by including narratives of the violence of the 1980s, 90s, and early 2000s.
