- Abstract
The article offers some facts about suncreens. Topics include the need for consumers to look for suncreens with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30 for ultraviolet B (UVB) rays and labelled as broad spectrum, reapplication of sunscreen within the first hour of exposure to provide better protection, and studies showing that zinc oxide and titanium dioxide nanoparticles in suncreens do not penetrate past the level of the stratum corneum following topical skin application.
