- Abstract
The article reports on the recommendation released by the independent group created by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to evaluate the validity of genetic testing in clinical practice. The group proposes that more research is necessary in order to know whether genetic test can reliably guide medical treatment. New approaches for genetic testing reviewed by the group are also noted such as the profiling of tumor gene activity to guide breast cancer treatment.
