- Abstract
In this article, the author presents information on the maternal age restriction of 45 years related to the O-blood transfusion at women with trauma following the obstetric database review from a single institution. It mentions the national fill rate of 95.9 percent of the blood by the Canadian Blood Services (CBS) in comparison to the 99.6 percent by the other blood groups, and highlights the preferences of transfusion of O- blood for prevention of alloimmunization on the pregnant women.
