- Abstract
The article discusses the Mowachaht Indian (who are part of the Nootka Indian group) artifacts of Vancouver Island, British Columbia collected by the British explorer Captain James Cook during the Mowachaht Indians' first contact with Europeans in 1778. The trade relationship between Great Britain and the Mowachaht Indians is discussed. The article also mentions the exhibition of Cook's collection to be held at the Anchorage Museum in Alaska and the Washington State History Museum in 2015. INSET: AN EXHIBITION IN THE MAKING.
