- Abstract
The article features flutist Carol Wincenc and the celebration of her 40th anniversary in the music industry in 2010. Her influences included colleagues from the New York Woodwind Quartet including Marc Goldberg, Stephen Taylor, and Bill Purvis. She taught at the Indiana University, Manhattan School, and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University after winning First Prize in the Walter W. Naumburg Solo Flute Competition in 1978. Information on her family background is also presented.
