- Abstract
The article discusses several facts related to insecticide resistance on malaria transmission with regard to epidemiological and ecological contexts. These facts include the fitness cost associated with insecticide resistance, the overestimated phenotype of resistance in standard protocols, and the impact of insecticides on the interactions between vectors and parasites. Also explored are the consequences of insecticide resistance and the mechanisms that reduce insecticide toxicity.
