RECENT STUDIES IN MARINE BACTERIOLOGY.

- Abstract
The article focuses on the recent studies in marine bacteriology. Under the test sampling conditions, salt water base agar gave most mycotic growth of colony formation of marine hyphomycetes. However, coliforms were not detected in any of the salt water sampling. In the bottom sample, a higher overall numerical bacterial flora was found. In crystal clear water, the study shows consistently less varied bacterial populations than bottom or brackish water. The salt water media showed more numerous smooth pin-point semi-translucent colonies than sterile fresh water media.
