The article presents criticism of the short story "Mister X" by Lisa Bird-Wilson from the collection "Just Pretending." Topics discussed include the repetition and depiction of telepathy in the short story, the portrayal of inter-relations between Indigenous land and life, and how the short story unlocks confounding aspects of racial, colonialist psychic imaginaries.
