- Title
Triangle Coalition Celebrates Fifteen Years.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the recent development in the field of technology education. On September 7, 2005, the Triangle Coalition celebrated its fifteenth anniversary. Although Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education issues are becoming the topic of discussion among education policy leaders, Triangle Coalition members have been working diligently on these issues for many years. In the past fifteen years, Triangle Coalition has placed 123 exemplary educators as Albert Einstein Distinguished Educators on Capitol Hill, Washington D.C. and among various Federal Agencies in fellowships, bringing their classroom expertise to the policy forum. Looking to the future, Triangle Coalition will continue to bring together the voices of government, business, and education to improve the quality and outcome of mathematics, science, and technology education. Triangle Coalition has been integral to the development and success of the Scientific Work Experience Programs for Teachers program, has held numerous regional and national conferences, and brought clarity to its members on subjects like the No Child Left Behind Act, NAEP, TIMSS, and PISA tests.
