- Abstract
The article defines complex posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and explains its relation to borderline personality disorder (BPD). It outlines separate cases of a patient diagnosed with complex PTSD, who was prescribed with different antipsychotics and mood stabilizers, and another patient with a diagnosis of BPD, who underwent psychotherapy. It shows overlaps in treatment management in the two cases and similarities in terms of patient response to treatment and history of experienced trauma.
