- Abstract
The author offers views on the 2013 national elections in Italy. According to the author, the electoral results demonstrate a deeply divided country, with 31.6-29.55% voted to the left, and 30.7-29.2% voted to the right. The author claims that the victory of the Five Star Movement (M5S) means that they are not going to be the only political organization in charge of governing the country, but they have met their goal, that is, the de-stabilization of the party-based status quo.
