- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 16-year-old male with abdominal distention and decreased output from ileostomy. Topics discussed include finding on the patient which was indicative of small bowel obstruction, rare complications of ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt catheters, and suggested surgical intervention and removal of the distal VP shunt catheter.
