- Abstract
It is important to develop sensors that can be easily fabricated for the detection of harmful industrial wastes and nitroaromatic explosives to reduce the risks to human health and protect the environment. We report a new luminescent metal–organic framework (MOF), [Zn5(μ3‐OH)2(TDA)4(4,4′‐bpt)2]n (1), (4,4′‐bpt = 1H‐3,5‐bis‐(4‐pyridyl)‐1,2,4‐triazole, H2TDA = thiophene‐2,5‐dicarboxylic acid), which was synthesized under solvothermal conditions and characterized using the PXRD, IR, TG, ICP‐MS, mapping, and PL spectroscopic techniques. The {Zn5} MOF of (1) with Zn5 cluster as the node, and 4,4′‐bpt and TDA2− as linkers, exhibited excellent thermal and chemical stabilities. Furthermore, 1 can serve as a sensitive and recyclable luminescent probe for the detection of Ag+, Cr2O72−, and TNP with detection limits of 5.96, 4.34, and 1.59 μM, respectively.
