- Abstract
The article "Epidemiological Profile of Traffic Accident Deaths in Brazil between 2016 and 2022" presents a study on deaths caused by traffic accidents in Brazil during the period from 2016 to 2022. The study analyzed data collected from the Hospital Information System of the Unified Health System (SUS) and identified a total of 35,335 deaths during this period, with the majority being male individuals. The most affected age groups were 20 to 29 years old and 30 to 39 years old. Additionally, the Southeast region concentrated the highest number of deaths. The study emphasizes the need for stricter traffic safety policies to prevent these deaths.
