This article discusses the psychological aspect of a myth on a Iasian youth named Hermias riding on a dolphin. It looks at the discovery of a statuary of Hermias as a boy standing on his hands on the back of a dolphin. It considers the death of the boy as difficult to accept by the mankind because it reflects the loss of hopes, dreams and future.
