- Abstract
In order to improve the mechanical properties of copper aluminum based metal binding agent, vacuum hot pressing sintering was used by adding 0 to 2. 5% of Y2O3 to the copper aluminum based metal binding agent. The rectangular sintered body was prepared under the technological conditions of 520℃, 18. 6 MPa and holding time for 3 min. The effects of Y2O3 addition on the mechanical properties, phase composition and microstructure of copper aluminum based metal binding agent were studied. The results show that with the increase of Y2O3 addition, the relative density and mechanical properties of the binding agent increase first and then decrease, and the addition amount of Y2O3 is 1. 5%, its comprehensive properties are the best, the relative density is 98. 5%, impact strength is 10. 24 kJ·m-2, the bending strength and Rockwell hardness are 229. 02 MPa and92. 3 HRB, respectively, which are increased by 26. 8% and 13. 7%. This is because the content of CuAl2 in the main phase increases first and then decreases, the AlCuMg content in the strengthening phase gradually increases, and the dispersed particles gradually form a homogeneous phase, and finally the Mg, Sn element segregates. The interface between the main phase CuAl2 and the strengthening phase AlCuMg is well binding agent and its internal residual stress is reduced, thus improving the overall strength of the binding agent.
