- Abstract
Based on the physical properties and geochemistry characteristics of crude oil samples distributed in the Ying’er Sag,Jiuquan Basin, the crude oil samples are classified into four types of A,B,C and D according to the features of saturated fraction, sterane and terpane. The spatial distribution relationship between the different types of crude oil and source rocks was clarified. Type A crude oil is mainly distributed in the K1z Formation with immature to low-mature thermal evolution stage and is characterized by self-generation and self-accumulation. Type B crude oil, belonging to mature oil,is distributed in the K1g3 with characteristics of self-generation and self-accumulation. The maturity of Type C and Type D crude oils is higher than that of Type A and Type B. Type C is mainly generated from K1c source rock and distributed in K1c and K1g1 formations. Type D oil is mixed oil which is generated from K1g2 and K1g1 source rocks and is distributed in the K1g2 and the K1g1. The discovered oil layers are chiefly controlled by source rock, paleouplift and thickness ratio of sandstone to stratum with the strata bound features of self-generation and self-accumulation.
