- Abstract
Constructed wetland system plays an indispensable role in purifying water quality and maintaining species diversity. Taking the water purification project of Fuhe estuary as an example, this paper analyzes the decontamination ability of the whole system or each unit under different pollution loads by recording the concentrations of ammonia nitrogen, COD, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. The research results show that under low pollution load, the average removal rate of ammonia nitrogen, COD, total nitrogen and total phosphorus by the system was 98. 1%, 94%, 94. 8% and 77. 9%. The average removal rates of nitrogen and total phosphorus are 98. 2%, 91. 9%, 90. 8%, and 74. 3%. Although the units at each stage can also reduce the pollutant concentration, the effect is not as significant as the overall system.
