The article discusses the study which suggests revisions in the guidelines used by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to prevent employers' biases on applicants with criminal records. It notes that the EEOC mandates and enforces the law against race, sex, and religious discrimination in the workplace. However, the guidelines should be revised to include protection for applicants with criminal records to prevent employers' discrimination during the hiring process.
