- Abstract
The article offers information regarding the research needs of zoonotic diseases and its impact on society. It presents a report by the Reference Group on Zoonoses and Marginalized Infectious Diseases (DRG6) highlighting several research priorities for the disease. It states that infectious diseases mainly affect poor populations that lack access to health services, hygienic food and education. It also discusses analysis of country livestock dependency, disease surveillance and vaccinations.
