- Authors
Leary, James M.; Diaz-Arnold, Ana M.; Aquilino, Steven A.
- Abstract
The article focuses on how to correct the inaccuracies in complete-denture construction in dentistry. It is stated that there can be inaccuracies in denture construction due to laboratory technical errors or due to deficiencies in the materials used in denture construction. It has been found that methyl methacrylate denture-base resin shrinks linearly by nearly 0.1% to 0.4% during processing. It is stated that the complete-denture remount corrects denture occlusion under controlled conditions. The procedure involves the evaluation and adjustment of the tissue surfaces and periphery of the complete dentures by the dentist.
