- Abstract
This article discusses the concept of sociability in Latin American history, with a focus on its sociological, historiographical, and anthropological aspects. The authors comment on the social reconstruction undertaken by Latin American communities in the post-colonial period and continuing through the 20th century. Reference is made to the journal "Caravelle," which published a dossier on the subject, including articles on family relations, the urban environment, and class structure in Latin America.
