- Abstract
The article discusses the use of the BACnet computer network building automation protocol technology, developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), in Australia. The author compares and contrasts the BACnet systems in use with other building automation and control systems on the market. The author also discusses the process of bidding on a contract for a particular system, the design and construction of the systems, and accommodating end user needs.
