- Abstract
The soothing, anti-inflammatory and repairing effects of sodium hyaluronate were studied. The C48/80 mast cell stimulation model was used to evaluate the soothing effect of sodium hyaluronate through the observation of morphology and degranulation rate of mast cells. A model of skin inflammatory injury was established through stimulating keratinocytes by UVB in vitro. The antiinflammatory effect was evaluated by detecting the expression of inflammatory cytokines TNF-a and IL-1a. The skin irritation injury model "SLS-Epikutis" was established in which sodium hyaluronate was evenly coated on the surface of this model to simulate the use to human. The effect of sodium hyaluronate to promote the barrier repair of the irritation injury model "SLS-Epikutis" was evaluated by detecting the changes in the histomorphological structure of the model and the barrier related proteins. The results show that sodium hyaluronate has better soothing effect than 1 mg/mL sodium cromoglycate at the concentration of 7.81 yg/mL; sodium hyaluronate has better anti-inflammatory activity than 0.01% dexamethasone at the concentration of 1 mg/mL; sodium hyaluronate has better repairing effect than 50 ymol/L WY14643 at the concentration of 10 mg/mL. In summary, a certain concentration of sodium hyaluronate has better soothing, anti-inflammatory and repairing effects.
