- Abstract
The article focuses on the conundrums raised due to various license problems. Topics discussed include role of the implied consent for providing defense to property, comparison of implied license from estoppels, exhaustion as well as compulsory license and justification of the penalty default rule in context of the work-for-hire doctrine. It further discusses the role of work-for-hire doctrine in lowering the costs of the contracts.
