- Abstract
The article discusses the Freedom House Survey for 2015 which evaluates the state of freedom of countries. Topics include political and economic renewal through elections, threats to democracy in Central America, lack of progress for women, and gridlock in the Balkans. Other points of the survey include violent conflict in the Middle East and North Africa, democratic setbacks and violence in the Sub-Saharan Africa, and the various forms of religious nationalism or extremism in the Asia-Pacific.
