An essay is presented concerning the rape laws in India. The author argues on the rising case of rape and sexual violence in the country, the political mobilization and criminal justice system, and the political conflict of rape cases with the diversity of social groups demanding for law reforms. The author examined the social implications of overpowering the law, usurpation, and marginalization.
