- Title
Revisiting the 1963 'Aristarchus events'.
- Authors
O'Connell, Robert; Cook, Anthony
- Abstract
The article focuses on the reliability of the observations in Transient Lunar Phenomenon (TLP) in 1963, known as The 1963 Aristarchus events by the experienced observers at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. It says that the finding has proven some of the historical reports such as the glow seen on the floor of the shadow-filled Ptolemaeus crater. It states that during the 20th century, the general consensus of the planetary community, was that the Moon was a dead world.
