- Abstract
This article discusses the use of the nasolabial-folded-flap (NFL) technique with conchal cartilage support for reconstructing full-thickness nasal alar defects. The NFL technique is favored in the reconstruction of these defects due to its satisfactory structural and cosmetic results. The article outlines the sequential steps involved in the NFL procedure and evaluates patient satisfaction. The study found that patients were satisfied with both the functional and aesthetic outcomes of the procedure. The NFL technique was found to be superior to alternative reconstructive methods in terms of shorter operation times and reduced need for reoperations. The article emphasizes the importance of tailored reconstructive techniques in addressing diverse patient needs.
