- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effects of hybrids between transgenic sugar beets and Swiss chard using hand-crossing. Ecological implications are found to be observed only in feral Swiss chard and wild beet populations due to the spread of virus-resistant transgenic hybrids. Chenopodium album is also noted to negatively influence the performance of genotypes.
