- Title
Social inclusion through lifelong learning in German higher education? Challenges for individuals and higher education institutions.
- Authors

- Abstract
The field of lifelong learning in German higher education (HE) is undergoing diverse reforms which aim to include non-traditional students by fostering structural and social permeability between the technical and vocational education and training sector (TVET) and HE. The challenges connected with increasing participation of formerly underrepresented social groups are explored from an individual and institutional perspective. Non-traditional students and higher education institutions face similar types of challenges, and meeting those challenges is essential in order for lifelong learning in HE to contribute to social inclusion.
