Many are subgroups of vegetarians, however all share the same idea to exclude animal foods diet. There is evidence that this type of power bring clinical benefits that extend throughout the life of the individual. A child begings his life as a vegetarian. The option to keep this diet during development of the child is open to discussion and requires care with supplemental nutrients that may be required. In food offered after the period of exclusive breastfeeding should also pay special attention should also be given to foods that are considered allergens in childhood. such as cow's milk, wheat, egg, peanuts, fish, seafood and soybeans. In this literature review article we tried to concentrate information necessary for the successful planning of introduction in vegetarian food children. For this relevance of articles from various databases such as Pubmed, Lilacs and Google scholar were selected. From this it was concluded that supplementation of a vegetarian children is similar to that of a non-vegetarian, except minor exceptions, such as vitamin B12. This is essential for the synthesis of cell element, and for the formation and maintenance of blood cells and maintenance of the nervous system. Since there is no valid plant sources of B12 and vitamine given its importance, its deficiency should be considered especially when the child is in a vegetarian diet longer.
