- Abstract
The article focuses on the closing of the International Paper (IP) Co.'s mill in Mobile, Alabama in December 2000. IP officials had decided to close the plant in order to reduce production in a saturated market. IP manufacturing director Bob Taylor explains that the company has more capacity than it has markets for. The plant closure has affected 800 workers of the company.
