- Abstract
The article takes a look at terrorism literature. Prior to the September 11th terrorist attacks, there had been a series of terrorism literature that all came to similar endings, with one example being that all articles contained the same problem of not approaching the study of terrorism with rigorously developing theoretically grounded studies. Many have also argued that the September 11th attacks brought terrorism studies to the forefront of the world's agenda and grabbed scholarly attention. The article also examines the methods in which data on terrorism is collected.
