- Abstract
The article presents a study on the influence of chemical structures of emulsifiers on the feasibility of lotion formulations using isopropyl palmitate (IPP). The researchers have investigated the influence of hydrophile-lipohile balance (HLB) values by formulating IPP using four pairs of different blends of non-ionic emulsifiers for emulsion formulation. They find that the chemical structures of emulsifiers and HLB values are important parameters in feasibility of emulsion formulation.
